The list just got released for who got the national scholarship to go to China that I received and I’m the only kid from my University to get in… Most schools only had one person accepted but there were a few uni’s with multiple people. I figured my university would be one of those cause that’s how Ivy Leagues do. They get there kids in everywhere. I’m so happy to see so many people from Spelman and state schools. : ) I am shocked that I am the only person from my school though, I know a lot of people who applied.

EDIT: Wait, I meant that I’m the only person going to China. I’ve met 2 other people (randomly) going to a Farsi-speaking country and an Arabic-speaking country. I’m sure there are others for the other programs. I’m just shocked that I was the one person for China, as I’m not even an East Asian Studies major.
